Frequently Asked Questions
Plants are not products that can be found on a shelf; they are living beings that require special care and minimal transit times to ensure their delivery in excellent condition. That’s why we adopt a strict order management for the safety of the plants.
All plant orders, paid by Sunday midnight, are shipped and delivered in the following week. They will be shipped between Monday and Tuesday and delivered by Friday.
We try to avoid the plants remaining still over the weekend in the courier’s warehouses.
It’s possible that even orders with payments received on Monday may be shipped in the current week, if they are compatible with the order queue and if we deem it safe to ensure delivery by Friday of the same week.
Shipments of materials (without plants), such as tarps and accessories, are shipped based on the order queue, without considering delivery by Friday (as they are non-perishable materials).
Orders paid by bank transfer are considered paid on the day they are credited to our bank account.
If you need to receive the plants on a specific day, you can request it at the time of the order, and we will do our best to fulfill your request.
When placing an order on our online shop, you can specify your requests in the “Notes” field (for example, you can write “I request delivery between Thursday and Friday, June 23”). It is not possible to request a specific delivery time, but the courier will send you an email or message with the indicative delivery time, as well as the option to manage the delivery day, time slot, or redirect the shipment to a pickup point.
If you place the order through our customer service, you can specify any requests regarding the indicative delivery day at the time of payment.
The transit times for shipments are as follows:
– Italy: 1 to 3 business days.
– France, Spain, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands: 2 business days.
– All other countries in the European Union: from 3 to a maximum of 4 business days for the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, and Greece.
Regarding order management, we give priority to shipments that require a longer transit time.
It is strictly prohibited to send any type of reminder, as it will not only be ignored but also slow down our operations (and your order will be placed at the end of the queue).
If you have doubts about why you have not yet received the shipment departure notice, please carefully reread the previous paragraph.
Yes, you can place an order and request to receive it the following week, or a month later, or whenever you prefer. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
When placing the order on our online store, you can specify your requests in the “Notes” field (for example, you can write “I request delivery between Thursday and Friday, June 23rd”). It is not possible to request a specific delivery time, but the courier will send you an email or message with the approximate delivery time, and you will also have the option to manage the delivery day, time slot, or redirect the shipment to a pickup point.
When ordering, you can also choose delivery to a nearby pickup point. This service is valid for packages with a maximum weight of 20 kg. If you have any doubts about the weight of your order, please contact us beforehand.
Please note that courier delivery times may have a one-day margin of error, so if you want to receive the plants, for example, on Friday, June 23rd, we consider the time frame from Thursday to Friday.
If, on the other hand, you place the order through our customer service, you can specify any requests related to the indicative delivery date at the time of payment.
If you place your order through our online shop, during the checkout phase, you will find various payment methods such as credit or debit cards (via Stripe or PayPal technology), bank transfer, or PayPal account (including the “Pay in 3 installments” option).
If, on the other hand, you place your order through our customer service, here are the payment instructions.
When you place an order through our online store, you will receive an email when your order is being prepared.
Subsequently, you will receive another email to notify you of the shipment when it leaves our facility (usually in the late afternoon).
We use a SMART order management system to ensure the safe delivery of your plants before Friday, giving priority to shipments that require longer transit times. If we believe there are risks to the plants due to potential delays from the carriers, we prefer to ship the plants at the beginning of the following week, at our discretion.
If, on the other hand, you place your order through our customer service, you will NOT receive the email regarding the preparation of your order, but only the shipment notification in the evening of the shipping day.
The shipping costs vary depending on the country we are shipping to, and you can see them simply by adding what you want to your cart on our online shop and providing the shipping address.
For orders over 100 euros directed to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Austria, and Italy, the shipping fees are on us, so they are free for you.
For other European countries, reduced shipping rates apply for orders over 100 euros.
On this page, it is explained in detail how aquatic plants are shipped, case by case (water lilies, marsh plants, submerged plants, lotus flowers), and you can also find a video that shows the care with which shipments are prepared by our staff.
We want to clarify that we sell aquatic plants only online. We are not gardeners or installers. We specialize in safely and reliably shipping aquatic plants.
We have commercial agreements with most courier companies at the European level, such as DPD, DHL, UPS, FedEx, and Dachser.
If you have specific delivery requirements or difficulties with courier delivery, please communicate them immediately at the time of purchase to arrange the shipment safely. When placing an order on our online shop, you can specify your requests in the “Notes” field.
If you are never at home, during checkout, you can select the “Pickup Point” option, which allows you to pick up your package at a designated pickup point, choosing from various nearby stores, bars, or tobacco shops.
By providing your address and selecting the “Pickup Point” option, the nearest pickup points will automatically appear for you.
This option does not apply to shipments over 20 kg in weight. If you would like to estimate the weight of your order, please contact us.
In such cases, you can coordinate with a friend or neighbor, or you can request us to leave the goods at the nearest courier branch for you to collect (contact us via email or WhatsApp before placing the order or immediately after, if you have this need).
We are the only nursery that provides a 100% Growth Guarantee for water lilies, marsh plants, and lotus flowers.
You can activate the Growth Guarantee by following the instructions in the manuals you’ll receive, especially by sending us photos of the plants shortly after planting. This way, we can confirm that everything is going well or if any changes are necessary.
If the plants are in the appropriate environment and have been planted correctly, by activating this guarantee, in case they do not grow as expected within the first 3 months, we will replace them free of charge.
Furthermore, we are the only nursery that offers free assistance for 12 months on the purchased plants.
After reading the paper manuals we send with the plant purchase, for any other inquiries, you can contact us via email or WhatsApp, and you will receive a response in a short time.
In months with daily temperatures below 20 degrees (from October to approximately March), the shipped plants can remain in their packaging for up to 5 days, counting from the day of shipment.
You should plant them as soon as possible, taking this information into account.
It is crucial that, upon receiving the plants, you keep the package in a cool place and NEVER leave it in the sun.
In months with higher temperatures, such as spring and summer, or if you need more time to plant them:
– Remove the plants from their packaging and place them in containers filled with water at the correct depths, as indicated in the paper manuals you will receive (water lilies and fully submerged plants, and marsh plants with water a few centimeters above the level of the pot or the plant’s collar);
– While waiting to plant them, keep them like this for a few days in a bright but not sunny location (to prevent the parts that are not submerged from drying out).
Plants can have two types of labels.
The first is for the botanical species, according to European regulations, which can be found either on the bags (containing water lilies and submerged plants) or attached to the pots (for marsh plants).
The second type of label is for the variety (of water lily, lotus, or iris), which is attached to the plant.
I recommend not placing any labels in the pond with the plants, as they are sure to be lost. Instead, you should create a map with a drawing of the pond on which you will write the names of the plants in relation to their location.
All plants, after transplantation, need to be pruned (even those that are not aquatic). This serves to stimulate the plant to develop new roots and leaves very quickly.
For this reason, we correctly prune the plants before shipping, leaving only the youngest leaves intact (thus saving you the trouble of pruning them when you receive them).
If we didn’t do this, the existing leaves would turn yellow very quickly, and the water lily would take longer to send up new leaves to the surface.
Aquatic plants are completely different from terrestrial plants.
All the substances to keep the plant alive are contained in the rhizome, and from it, new roots are generated every year (starting from spring).
Young (and active) roots are small and white, while old roots are gray and thicker. Old roots can be removed without any problem.
If you received a plant without roots, it means that for that type of plant and at that specific time of year, it was correct to receive it that way.
This applies to water lilies, marsh plants, and even submerged plants. In fact, both water lilies and marsh plants are capable of generating new roots from the rhizome without any problems. Rooted submerged plants (such as Elodea canadensis and Myriophyllum spicatum) generate new roots from the stems in contact with the ground.
On this page, you can find all the information about who we are and where our headquarters is located. You can also watch various videos about our headquarters on both our website and our YouTube channel.
However, our headquarters is not open to the public, so it’s not possible to make purchases at our headquarters. We operate exclusively online.
You can make a purchase through our online shop, or for advice on which plants to buy, you can send information about your pond via this page or contact us via email or WhatsApp.
However, we may organize a public event during the peak flowering season of water lilies and lotus flowers (late June and July). You can find a video from a past event on this page.

You can plant aquatic plants in any month of the year, whether it’s winter, spring, summer, autumn, or winter, as long as you avoid the period when the pond is frozen.
Keep in mind that the growth period for plants is from March to October. During the colder months, the plants remain in a state of hibernation underwater, waiting for the warmth.
The only seasonal constraint is related to the purchase of lotus rhizomes, which can only be purchased and planted between March and May.
