Osmocote fertilizer for aquatic plants

The most suitable fertilizer for aquatic plants is Osmocote Controlled Release Tablets.

The Osmocote Tablets fertilizer is a plant food in granules compressed into cones, with the size of a walnut, that is placed in the soil near the rhizome of the aquatic plant by simply pressing the cone into the soil with a finger.

In this way you can put the fertilizer in the pots of aquatic plants without having to remove the pots from the water, and therefore without having to dig in the soil and then cover.

The Osmocote fertilizer for aquatic plants releases nutrients over a period of 8-9 months and in particular it releases very little when the water is cold in winter and it releases faster with warmer water in summer.

Thus, by fertilising in spring, the aquatic plant will have the nutrients it needs to grow and bloom throughout the year.

The composition of Osmocote Controlled Release Tablets is 14-8-2 + 2MgO + micro (i.e. in order: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and other micronutrients such as iron, manganese, boron, copper, molybdenum, zinc)

Recommended doses vary according to plant type and basket size.

For a water lily: 3 to 5 tablets close to the rhizome depending on size (e.g. a small water lily in a mini pond with a small basket needs 3 tablets, and a water lily in a pond 5 tablets).
For a marsh plant: 2 to 3 tablets.
For a lotus flower: 5 to 10 tablets.
